Last year, on Rishi Kapoor’s birth anniversary, his family paid tribute in a special way. An AI-generated photo imagining the late actor with granddaughter Raha touched hearts, sparking emotional reactions about what could have been.

Though Raha never met her grandfather, Alia Bhatt once mentioned on Karan Johar’s chat show that her daughter resembles Rishi. Ranbir’s sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, echoed the sentiment in a heartfelt post on his birth anniversary, calling Raha 'mini Rishi' and wishing he was here to celebrate with his granddaughters, Raha and Samara.

In a heartwarming caption, Riddhima shared: “Happy Birthday Papa❤️ How I wish u were here celebrating your special day with both your grand daughters. Your 'bandari' Sam is all grown up and baby Raha is the cutest- She is a mini you. Papa I will always cherish the memories we got to share. We miss you so much, and our love for you only deepens with each passing day❤️.”

Rishi died on April 30, 2020, at the age of 67. He was suffering from leukaemia and had been in New York for a considerable amount of time for treatment. His last film, Sharmaji Namkeen, was shot with Paresh Rawal, as the actor's portions of the film were incomplete.
