Amidst the shocking news of Kate Middleton's revelations of her preventive chemotherapy post a major abdominal surgery, a video of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan charming the Princess with his kind words of affection has gone viral.
The clip shared online was from the Prince and Princess of Wales' first visit to India, almost 7 years ago. The charity event saw Shah Rukh playing the host and taking over the microphone to share endearing anecdotes about the royal couple before calling them on stage to deliver their speech to the audience.
Shah Rukh delighted audiences with a heartwarming revelation about how his children, Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan, couldn't stop talking about Prince William and Kate Middleton's philanthropic endeavours. Reflecting on his family's connection to Great Britain, Khan expressed how his children's schooling in London had deepened his appreciation for the Royal Family's charitable works. "All of us present here have had a long-standing relationship with Great Britain. Of course, over the years, mine has become even closer because my kids are studying there now," Khan shared.
Reminiscing about the stories his children told him, he said, "I have been hearing a lot more about the Royal Highnesses and the work they have been doing."
Aryan and Suhana Khan, SRK's older kids, had pursued their schooling in London before venturing to the United States for higher education.
In his characteristic charm, Shah Rukh Khan extended warm words to Kate Middleton during her maiden visit to India. Expressing his hopes for her delightful experience in the country, he stated, "India, if nothing else, is the most colourful and the warmest of the nations that you will ever visit in your life."
Prince William also shared sentiments about India's significance to his wife, Kate Middleton, revealing that visiting the country was at the top of her list after their marriage. He expressed their honor in finally making the journey to India and their excitement to explore its rich culture and heritage.
Kate, Britain's Princess of Wales, said on Friday she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy after tests taken following major abdominal surgery in January revealed cancer had been present. In a video message, Kate said, "My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment."
"This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family," she added.
Kensington Palace, said it would give no further details about the type of cancer. It said she was on a recovery pathway and the preventative chemotherapy had begun in February.
The royal couple also expressed gratitude for the public's support adn warmth. They shared in a statement, "The Prince and Princess are both enormously touched by the kind messages from people here in the UK, across the Commonwealth and around the world in response to Her Royal Highness’ message.
