The couple got married in 2017, and they are now parents to two kids, Vamika and Akaay. Virat publicly expresses his love for Anushka, and so does she. However, there was a time when Virat shared that he found Bollywood actress Genelia D’Souza cute in an old video.

A video of Virat with VJ Anusha Dandekar grabbed headlines when he shared that he found Genelia cute. When Anusha asked which Bollywood actor he would love to see play cricket, Virat replied, “Genelia D’Souza.” When the interviewer pressed further, asking if it was just her and not any other actress, Virat emphasized that, yes, he found her too cute. He was seen blushing and turning his face shyly.



The cricketer also shared one of his horrible date experiences. “I went on a blind date, and it ended within five minutes. I saw the girl and ran away. She was ugly. I'm sorry, but she was ugly.” His comment particularly annoyed some social media users, who called it body-shaming. He looked young in the video, and many trolled him for not looking at himself in the mirror before calling someone ugly.

Anushka, Virat, and their children have been in the UK for a while, sparking speculation about their potential plans to settle there. However, neither Anushka nor Virat has addressed these rumors. They welcomed their daughter, Vamika, in 2021, and their son, Akaay, in 2024.
