In a post from years ago, Chopra shared a side-by-side photo of herself at 9 and 17. She wrote that it was “wild to think about the changes that puberty and grooming can bring to a girl.”




She described the nine-year-old version as an awkward pre-teen phase, complete with a boy cut hairstyle, which her mother chose to make school mornings easier. The second picture, at 17, marked a visible shift. She had just won Miss India in 2000, surrounded by her hair, makeup, and wardrobe, and stepping into a more public version of herself. She referenced Britney Spears and called it, in between stages, “not a girl, not yet a woman.”

Her point was that the change she experienced was not meant to seek applause. Looking back, she wrote, helps her treat herself with more care now. She urged others to think of their younger selves, too, and to recognize what they carried so the person you are today could stand where you stand.

A composed return to the Golden Globes

That message feels especially fitting against the backdrop of her return to one of Hollywood’s biggest red carpets at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills. Chopra arrived at The Beverly Hilton with Nick Jonas, exuding calmness, groundedness, and a complete sense of contentment.

As reported by the Hindustan Times, a brief moment during a photo call drew attention when Jonas leaned in and fixed her hair. It was quick and unplanned, which is why it landed. The clip spread online, with fans calling it sweet and genuine rather than performative.

She wore an off-the-shoulder blue gown by Dior Haute Couture, customized by Jonathan Anderson, and Bulgari jewelry. Jonas stood beside her in a black tuxedo. Together, they looked comfortable, like they belonged there without trying to prove it.

Chopra has three films lined up: ‘The Bluff,’ ‘Varanasi,’ and ‘Judgement Day.’ The slate spans international and Indian cinema and aligns with the career she has built across borders.
