Indian singer-musician Adnan Sami is set to make a comeback after a nine-year hiatus. Sami, who gained immense popularity with his rendition of ‘Bhar Do Jholi Meri’ from Salman Khan's 2015 blockbuster ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan,’ will reportedly make his return with a romantic song in the upcoming musical horror film ‘Kasoor.’
According to Pinkvilla, Sami will be lending his voice to a track that also features seasoned singer Payal Dev, with music composed by the duo Javed-Mohsin. The song features Aftab Shivdasani, Urvashi Rautela, and popular Punjabi artist Jassie Gill. ‘Kasoor’ is directed by Glen Barretto, with the story, screenplay, and dialogues crafted by Mudassar Aziz.
Reports suggest that the film's second schedule, which includes this much-anticipated song, is set to begin next week on an opulent set constructed in a Mumbai studio. Producer Asif Shaikh confirmed these developments, expressing excitement about Sami’s involvement. He noted that Sami’s music has always struck a chord with audiences, and they expect this new track to be no different.
‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ by Kabir Khan remains a significant milestone in Indian cinema, ranking as the seventh-highest-grossing Indian film and fourth-highest-grossing Hindi film of all time. The movie, which starred debutant Harshaali Malhotra, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is also getting a sequel titled ‘Pawan Putra Bhaijaan.’
Earlier, veteran writer KV Vijayendra Prasad revealed that the script is locked, and director Kabir Khan, who cherishes the success of the original, has expressed his eagerness to work with Salman Khan again, whether in this sequel or another project.
