Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ is one of the most awaited films this year. While the director is busy promoting the film, he recently opened up about the reports of Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan’s rumoured cameos in the film.
Talking to Mirchi Plus, Ayan said that he knows absolutely nothing about this. The filmmaker added that he will take it as a suggestion for part two. Maybe he can get them on board for the next chapter of ‘Brahmastra’.
Further, Ayan clarified that ‘Brahmastra’ is not really about Lord Shiva. Ranbir’s character is just called Shiva in it. The director also added that the deity is also his greatest hero in real life and that there is a lot of inspiration that he has put in his own way into this film and into Ranbir’s character. So there is no role of Parvati in Part One or Part Two or Part Three. According to Ayan, to some extent, like it says in the dialogue of the movie, Isha is really Shiva’s Parvati in this trilogy.
Reports were rife that while Deepika will be seen essaying the role of Parvati in the movie, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen as a scientist.
‘Brahmastra’ stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. It also features Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in key roles. It is slated to hit the theatres on September 9, 2022.
