Bollywood director and producer, Karan Johar has a lot to look forward to in the months ahead. The star director is not only gearing up for the release of his latest directorial 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani', but he also has a long list of film productions ready to roll out in the next 12 months.
KJo reportedly has about seven films currently in various stages of production. These include Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam, featuring Vicky Kaushal and Tripti Dimri. The action flick Yodha, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani, and Raashii Khanna is also gearing up for its release later this year.
Karan is also working on the KC Sakaran biopic, with sees Akshay Kumar leading the cast. The actor was spotted early this week shooting for the film in Old Delhi.
Sara Ali Khan's Ae Watan Mere Watan and Sarzameen with Kajol are also in the works. Rounding off the list is the romantic comedy Mr. Aur Mrs. Mahi which will see Janhvi Kapoor opposite Rajkummar Rao.
While the Sara starrer is rumoured to be having a direct-to-OTT release, the other movies are touted to be theatrical releases.
The highly anticipated film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani which reunites together Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt is slated for a July 27 release. Meanwhile, Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam has been confirmed for an August 25 release.
Rumours were rife that Sid's Yodha was set for a September release, but KJo bowed out of a box office clash with bestie Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan'.
The other two films, Sankaran and Sarzameen are reportedly eyeing release dates in 2024.
