Varun Dhawan is gearing up for his much-anticipated film 'Baby John', directed by Atlee, which is set to delight audiences this Christmas 2024. Recently, it was announced that Salman Khan will make a special appearance in the film. Exciting new details reveal that he’ll portray a cop who serves as a mentor to Varun’s character, adding an action-packed twist to the story.

Baby John is a remake of Atlee’s 2016 Tamil film Theri. According to a report in Mid-Day, Salman will step into the shoes of a senior police officer, a role originally played by Prabhu. The report also added that Atlee and director Kalees have crafted exciting fight sequences to showcase Salman’s action skills.



The film follows Varun Dhawan as Baby John, an ex-cop who goes into hiding to protect his daughter. According to the aforementioned report, Salman Khan will play a mentor role, helping Varun's character return to the police force. The source emphasized that "Kalees and writer Sumit Arora are pulling no punches to ensure that his cameo will be a treat for fans."



Baby John boasts a stellar cast featuring Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff, and Rajpal Yadav in key roles. The film is presented by Jio Studios and Atlee, in collaboration with A for Apple Studios and Cine1 Studios. Directed by A Kaleeswaran, it is produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, and Jyoti Deshpande, with music composed by S Thaman.
