Namrata marked her acting debut with a special appearance in 'Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai' (1998) starring Salman Khan and Twinkle Khanna. She essayed pivotal parts in films like 'Vaastav: The Reality' and 'Pukar'. Namrata Shirodkar married Mahesh Babu in 2005 and her last professional outing was ‘Rok Sako To Rok Lo’ in 2004.


Namrata enjoys huge popularity on Instagram and often posts pictures and videos with her family. She had recently shared a picture with her daughter Sitara from their Switzerland trip and captioned it, “Waiting in the wings with garlands of little hands. Trying to see the drama of two ducks doing a headstand in shallow waters…what a sight it was. Until it was time.. for our yacht arrived and whisked us back into a disappearing mountain called Burgenstock. And there it all started .. our little Swiss holiday.”
