Woman claiming to be actor Ravi Kishan's second wife moves Bombay High Court to quash FIR: Report

Aparna Soni, a 54-year-old woman who claims to be the second wife of actor Ravi Kishan, has taken her case to the Bombay High Court. She aims to dismiss an FIR filed against her by Kishan's wife, Preeti Shukla, alleging extortion and false rape accusations in Lucknow’s Hazratganj police station.

Represented by advocate Ashok M. Saraogi, Aparna, alongside her husband Rajesh Soni and daughter Shinova, countered the allegations in the FIR. They argue that the accusations lack merit and are driven by malicious intent, constituting an abuse of legal channels.


The FIR alleges that Aparna demanded ₹20 crore from Ravi Kishan, threatening to falsely accuse him of rape. Aparna denies these claims, asserting that her notice to Ravi Kishan regarding Shinova's biological relationship does not constitute extortion or any criminal act. They further contend that the FIR's jurisdiction in Lucknow, despite the involved parties residing in Mumbai, is questionable.

Aparna's legal team asserts that the FIR aims to silence them from asserting Shinova’s rights as Kishan’s biological daughter. They highlight Aparna's prior legal actions in Mumbai's City Civil Court, seeking to establish Shinova’s rights, suggesting that the FIR is retaliatory.


Aparna seeks the Bombay High Court's intervention to quash the FIR, citing its lack of substance and misuse of legal proceedings. She also requests a halt to further proceedings related to the FIR. The court is expected to address both the paternity matter and the FIR quashing in its upcoming session.
