Talking about the show, the actress, who arrived at Bombay Times Carnival to celebrate the paper’s 30th anniversary, told us, “Season 2 was exciting because there was so much happening on the show in terms of the story. But I think none of it would work if the music didn’t support it. It’s such a diverse and beautiful album, even the background score is amazing. It keeps you locked in without a doubt.”

Yashaswini who’s also a singer got an opportunity to sing for her character on the show. “Soumya is a supremely talented girl, but she struggles with confidence, to put it shortly. She believes that this opportunity is what she needs to bring her craft to the next level,” she said talking about her character on the show.

Earlier seen in Dear Zindagi with Alia Bhatt, Yashaswini, bonded the best with the show’s leads including Ritwik Bhowmik and Shreya Chaudhry. About her equation with them, she said, “I have a very close relationship with both of them. I’ve known Ritwik for some years now and Shreya and I had so much fun shooting together. I think my favourite memory with each of them is shooting our version of Khaamakha (song from the show) with Shreya and having Ritwik sort of choreograph us behind the scenes for one of our performances.”

A music fanatic, Yashaswini also opened up about her taste in it, saying, “Music through any medium is how I find myself when I’m lost. I grew up listening to the pop divas in the west like Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, and Sunidhi Chauhan back home. I love her song Mast, from when she was just starting out. I also love Sonu Nigam’s voice, he’s like a healer. So, I like his Shukhran Allah and Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin.”
