You won't believe how long it took to bead Priyanka Chopra's crown for MET Gala 2018

Priyanka Chopra walked down the red carpet of one of the most-awaited events of the year, MET Gala 2018. Donning a beautiful and a surreal Ralph Lauren ensemble with a headgear, she blew everyone’s mind with her goddess-like avatar. Confining to the theme of this year MET Gala, which was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”, the global icon did complete justice to the theme and slayed the red carpet.

Many compared her outfit to that of a medieval knight, or of Mother Mary.But, yes it was safe to say that unlike last year, Priyanka’s this year’s MET Gala ensemble made our hearts skip a beat. Priyanka paired her Ralph Lauren strapless gown with an embellished gold chain mail coif. The gold glitter which she opted for on her arms and eyes gave her entire look just the right amount of glam.

What caught the public and the media’s attention was the glamorous headgear which PeeCee donned. The peculiar and intricate accessory was what aced her entire look as per the theme. Designer Ralph Lauren took to his instagram to share a close-up of the actress which gave a better look at the golden hood. He also revealed that the custom piece took over 250 hours to hand bead. The ornate piece is made of red Swarovski crystals and gold beading.
