Mardaani: 5 Reasons to watch the film

It is after all Rani Mukerji: Known as the 'powerhouse performer' of Bollywood, Rani Mukerji is back again. With her strong lineage of work, Rani established herself into the category of A- list actresses soon after her debut. Performances like 'Black' and 'No One Killed Jessica' only strengthened her foothold in the industry. And now after a long hiatus, Rani is back again. Let's wait till this Friday to know whether she will be able to revive her magic.

Mardaani: 5 Reasons to watch the film

Women Oriented Movie: Year 2012 and 2013 saw a number of women oriented movies. But majority of them flopped at the box office. 'Mardaani' is a story of Shivani Shivaji Roy, Senior Inspector, Crime Branch, Mumbai Police (played by Rani), who is all geared up to bust the child trafficking mafia. It is this year's first women oriented movie. After her blockbuster performance in 'No One..' we sure would love to see Rani in a tough cop role.

Comeback films have flopped: A number of Bollywood actresses have made their comeback in the last two years. While Juhi Chawla and Madhuri Dixit's 'Gulaab Gang' failed at the box office miserably, Neetu Kapoor's 'Besharam' too had a similar fate. The only comeback film which worked in the last two years is Sridevi's 'English Vinglish'. With all these comebacks turning out to be disasters at the box office, we only hope that Rani would pack a powerful punch at the box office with 'Mardaani'.

Mardaani: 5 Reasons to watch the film

Rani Mukerji's first action role: This is the first time that the bubbly Rani will be seen in an action oriented role. We have seen Rani play many bubbly characters on screen in films like - 'Ghulam', 'Bunty Aur Babli' etc but this is the first time that we will see her in an action packed role. In her last two films - 'Bombay Talkies' and 'Talaash' Rani played a docile housewife.

Rani is a 'Chopra' now: Well, one has to agree that after becoming a 'Chopra', Rani's market value has increased. Being a Chopra bahu is in itself a big thing and her sudden marriage has only heightened curiosity among her fans. Bollywood is not a place where married actresses are given much preference, so whether Rani will be accepted in the industry after her marriage is one more thing to watch out for. Will you go watch Mardaani'?
