Salman Khan and Karan Johar are good friends and their rapport was evident at the Filmfare Awards. Karan Johar and Salman Khan will be working together in Shuddhi and it seems like KJo's statement at the function was in sync with it, he said, "Agar Salman ho toh film hit hone ke liye aur kuch cheezon ki jarurat nahi. (If Salman is there in a film then you don't need anything else)." And when Kapil asked the reason behind the blockbuster hits Salman modestly replied, "Mere incompetency ke wajah se hit hoti hai filmein. (It is because of my incompetency that my films are a hit).” The entertaining package didn't end here as Deepika Padukone too came on the stage and was wooed by Karan, Kapil, Sidharth and Salman, as they danced to the hit track of Kick - 'Jumme ki raat.'

Karan Johar and Kapil Sharma made for a very hilarious hosting duo. As a part of one of the acts, Karan and Kapil went about giving dialogues to celebs sitting in the audience and asked them to repeat the same in a sexy manner. For Tabu it was, "Mere do anmol ratan.. ek hai Ram, ek Lakhan." While for Deepika Padukone, the dialogue was, "Jab tak tere pair chalenge.. tab tak iski saans chalegi." Kapil Sharma and Karan Johar had also arranged for a paani puri waala to serve some to the guests.
