Kajol: There’s nothing to clarify on the film with SRK

Rumours of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol making a comeback in Rohit Shetty’s next has set the media circles abuzz with curiosity. But even as SRK-Kajol fans wait with a bated breath to see their favourite on-screen pair together, Kajol disappoints them by denying to have any knowledge about the film. But looks like these are all just rumours as Kajol has gone ahead to clarify that she has no idea about the film.

In an exclusive interview with the Timesofindia.com during the Femina Awards, Kajol said, "I have no idea about the film and there's nothing to clear about it, nothing as of now." Other reports suggest that apart from SRK-Kajol, the film will also star Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. And while Kajol has denied any such news we can only say that there's no smoke without fire.

Rani Mukerji in KANK- Kajol was Karan Johar's first choice for the role of 'Naina' in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. However due to her busy schedule Kajol could not take up the role. She was already shooting for the Aamir Khan starrer 'Fanaa' then. Rani was offered to play the role played by Preity Zinta in the movie. But after Kajol backed out, Rani played her part and Preity Zinta played the part that was initially offered to Rani.

Karisma Kapoor in Dil To Pagal Hai- The role which made Karisma Kapoor win the National Award was first offered to Raveena Tandon. After Raveena rejected the offer, the role went on to a number of actresses but each of them declined. Kajol too was offered this role but she refused to play a supporting role in the movie. The film went on to be the second highest grosser of Bollywood in 1997. And all three stars won a number of awards that year for their performances.

Rani Mukerji in Chalte Chalte-nAishwarya Rai Bachchan was the first choice for this Shah Rukh Khan starrer. But due to the growing problems between Salman and Aishwarya, Shah Rukh allegedly decided to dropp Aishwarya. After Aishwarya, Kajol was the next choice for the role. But due to her busy schedule Kajol had to decline the role. After Kajol, the role was offered to Rani Mukerji who had initially rejected the role saying it was too similar to her role in 'Saathiya'. But eventually Rani agreed to play the part.

Karisma Kapoor in Shakti- The Power- The film was supposed to be Sridevi's comeback film. But due to personal reasons Sridevi could not play the role of 'Nandini'. Kajol was offered the role as the director thought she was the perfec choice to play a charcater as bold as 'Nandini'. Kajol was the first choice for the role of Nandini. Karisma Kapoor was nominated under the Best Actress category for her hard hitting act in the movie.
