Radhika Apte to star in Hollywood World War II spy-drama

After making her mark in the South and Bollywood film industries, Radhika Apte has set her sights on Hollywood. The actress who was rumoured to be making venturing West to pursue her film dreams has landed a role in a female-driven World War II spy drama that also stars ‘Castle’ fame Stana Katic and Sarah Megan Thomas in the lead roles.

According to reports, the film is based on the real-life spies in Winston Churchill’s “secret army”. Apte will be seen playing Noor Inayat Khan, a pacifist of Indian descent who was the first female wireless operator. She will reportedly play a crucial role in this drama that will see her character work with the British intelligence as a spy.

Apart from this, Radhika will also be seen opposite Dev Patel in Michael Winterbottom’s upcoming feature ‘The Wedding Guest’.

Oscars 2018: Priyanka Chopra to announce list of nominees

Global icon Priyanka Chopra is one of few stars officially selected to announce the nominees for the 90th Academy Awards. The Academy took to its Instagram page and shared some behind-the-scenes glimpses which revealed that few celebrities have been picked for the special occasion, which include our very own Desi girl.

The 'Quantico' star can be seen sitting on a chair wearing a metallic top paired up with black trousers. "Behind the scenes with Priyanka Chopra. Tune in to the #OscarNoms announcement on Tuesday at 5:22am PT," read the caption. The official account also shared images of Rebel Wilson, Michelle Rodriguez and Rosario Dawson.

Clearly, PeeCee is no stranger when it comes to the Oscars, after she made her debut appearance in 2016 in a white Zuhair Murad gown creating social media frenzy. She was also talked about a lot after her red carpet appearance last year and seems to have only gained more prominence at the awards show.

Priyanka Chopra begins shooting her third Hollywood film

Bollywood diva turned internet superstar Priyanka Chopra, has been making a mark in America, with her hit television show ‘Quantico’ and has also claimed her stake over the big screen. After making her Hollywood debut in ‘Baywatch’ opposite Dwayne Jhonson and Zack Effron, the star has now begun shooting two film projects namely ‘A Kid Like Jake’ and 'Isn't It Romantic?'. While one is touted to be an indie film, the other is a romantic comedy where she will play the role of a yoga ambassador Isabella. PeeCee is also juggling her Bollywood career and is in talks to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gustakhiyan' opposite Irrfan Khan.

Deepika Padukone to be a part of ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ sequel

After turning down multiple Hollywood film projects, Deepika Padukone finally made her big debut with the action flick ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’. According to latest reports, the actress might have just bagged her second Hollywood project – the next instalment of the 'xXx' franchise, alongside Hollywood action star Vin Diesel. Putting all speculations to rest, director DJ Caruso recently confirmed that the Bollywood beauty, who played the role of huntress Serena Unger, will return along with the rest of the cast for the next instalment.

Irrfan Khan heads to New York to begin work on ‘Puzzle’

While Bollywood stars are only now making headlines for venturing into Hollywood, Irrfan Khan has been surprising fans time after time with his roles in films like ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’, Oscar-winning film ‘Life of Pi’, ‘Jurassic World’ and ‘Inferno’. Apart from simultaneously pursuing his Bollywood career, the actor’s illustrious career abroad has bagged him a role in the upcoming film ‘Puzzle’. The film is an adaptation of the 2010 Argentine film 'Rompecabezas', which tells the story of a 40-something woman who is consumed with caring for the men in her family when she discovers her gift for assembling puzzles. Irrfan will be seen essaying the lead alongside actress Kelly Macdonald.

Ali Fazal earns his place beside the Queen in ‘Victoria and Abdul’

From playing a minimal part in 2015’s super hit actioner ‘Furious 7’, Ali Fazal is now set to take his place under the spotlight besides Oscar winner Judi Dench in the upcoming film ‘Victoria and Abdul’. The biographical drama will tell an unlikely friendship forged between the Queen of England, Victoria and her Indian Muslim attendant. Based on Shrabani Basu’s 2010 book by the same name, the film will chronicle the journey of Abdul Karim, a young clerk who travelled from his famine-ravaged city in India to present the ageing monarch with a ceremonial coin.

Anupam Kher is one of India's most prolific actors appearing in over 500 films and more than 100 theatre plays. It is no doubt then that the star has made a name for himself in Hollywood as well. Anupam, who will soon be seen playing a doctor in the upcoming Gerard Butler starrer ‘A Family Man’, recently released his American film ‘The Big Sick’.
