‘Inshallah’ vs ‘Sooryavanshi’: Salman Khan getting ready for Eid 2020 clash with Akshay Kumar?

Keeping up with tradition, Salman Khan is known to give fans an Eid treat every year, with the release of his films. While this year will see the release of ‘Bharat’ co-starring Katrina Kaif, next year, fans are bracing themselves for the actor’s next with Sanjay Leela Bhansali ‘Inshallah’, co-starring Alia Bhatt. However, the date has already been booked by Akshay Kumar for his cop actioner ‘Sooryavanshi’.

Amidst reports of Akki and director Rohit Shetty bowing out of a clash, the latest buzz hints at a possibility of a big box office battle coming up soon. This comes amidst rumours that Katrina Kaif may be brought on as the leading lady of the Akshay starrer. Though the clash will prove to be a treat for the audience with a romantic flick and a high octane action drama to choose from, it would be interesting to see how this plays out, considering that Salman and Katrina are very close friends.

Will we see a clash of the Titans next Eid, or will one of the two, bow out to battle it out another day? Guess we will have to wait and see.

Deepika Padukone’s ‘Chhapaak’ to clash with Ajay Devgn’s ‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’ at the box-office

Deepika Padukone left fans and the Bollywood film industry speechless on Monday morning, after releasing her first look from ‘Chhapaak’, directed by Meghna Gulzar. The actress bowled over fans and fellow Bollywood stars, who took to social media to express their excitement for the film and laud her decision to tell the story of acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal.

The actress signalled off the start of her film in Delhi today and also announced that it is slated for a January 10, 2020 release. As it turns out, the release date was also booked by Ajay Devgn over the weekend, when he announced that his ambitious periodic film, ‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’ will be out on January 10 next year.

The box office has seen several clashes over the years. While some have risen as clear winners, others have had to bite the dust if not bow out and opt for another date.

Meanwhile, it looks like 2020 will leave film buffs spoilt for choice with the varied genres to choose from. While ‘Chhapaak’ will reportedly celebrate the undying human spirit, ‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’ will take the audience back in time to relive Indian history.

Mouni Roy's 'Brahmastra' and 'Made In China' to clash at the box office next Independence Day?

Mouni Roy is flying high with the success of her recent release 'Gold', which also marked her Bollywood debut. She has already signed up for three big Bollywood films which are to be released in 2019. However, according to the latest reports, her films 'Made In China' and 'Brahmastra' are going to clash at the box-office next year.

While there has been no official confirmation about the same from either the studios or Mouni herself, reports state that both films are eyeing the long Independence Day weekend. While in 'Made in China' has the actress playing the female lead, 'Brahmastra' will see her playing a supporting role opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Ali Bhatt.

Well, it looks like Mouni's fans will be up for a double treat during the 15 August 2019 weekend.

Now, according to latest reports, it looks like Abhishek Bachchan and Jackky Bhagnani are gearing up to lock horns at the box office this September.

Although ‘Manmarziyaan’ and ‘Mitron’ explore two drastically different genres, they will have to share the business with they hit theatres together on September 14.

Riteish Deshmukh’s ‘Mauli’ to clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Zero’ at the box office

Riteish Deshmukh has picked 21 December 2018 at D-day to release his next Marathi venture ‘Mauli’. The film directed by Aditya Sarpotdar features Riteish in the titular role opposite actress Saiyami Kher. As if the special announcement didn’t raise enough hype and anticipation for the film, a possible box office clash with the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Zero’, seems to have done the trick.

As we are all aware, Shah Rukh had announced that his next, that sees him play a vertically challenged man opposite Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, is scheduled to hit theatres on the same date. Although ‘Mauli’ is a Marathi film and ‘Zero’, a Bollywood film, reports suggest that the clash will indeed affect box office numbers.

Will the two stars keep their date with the audience, or will one bow out to fight another day? While the Riteish starrer has been creating enough buzz among fans and the Marathi audience, the SRK starrer has been grabbing the headlines for cameos by Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone.

Shahid Kapoor’s 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' to lock horns with Kajol’s 'Helicopter Eela' and Dijit Dosanjh's 'Arjun Patiala' at the box office

While the shooting had earlier delayed, the film got back on the track, and now has a new release date. The movie that was earlier slated to release on August 31st, has been pushed to next month. It is now slated to release on September 14.

Interestingly, the ‘Padmaavat’ actor’s much-awaited film is likely to clash with Kajol’s ‘Helicopter Eela’ and Kriti Sanon- Diljit Dosanjh’s next, ‘Arjun Patiala’. Shahid and his ‘Udta Punjab’ co-star Diljit Dosanjh will clash at the box office and that will be really interesting. But as the three movies release on the same day, it can’t be predicted who gets the winning position.

Earlier when ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ was slated to release on August 31, it would have clashed with Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Stree’. But it is not surprising that the makers shifted the release date considering ‘Stree’ features Shraddha in a vital role. The unit recently wrapped the shooting of ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ and the movie is now in its post-production stage.

On the personal front, Shahid and wife Mira are also expecting their second child and the due date falls in the same month of the movie’s release.

While two movies clashing at the box office has become too common, this time around the audience will witness three grand movies locking horns with each other. Reportedly, the makers of Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Gold’ has locked 15th August as their release date almost a year back. However, it was earlier this year that John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee’s thriller titled ‘Satyamev Jayate’ also claimed to release on the 15th of August.

When John was questioned about the clash at a media event, he professed that him and Akshay are good friends and the release date matter will be sorted out by the producers.

Anil further added that as a father he is very anxious for his children and only wants the best for both of them.

If reports are to be believed, Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ may clash with Akki’s film as the actress feels that the biopic on the warrior queen would make for a fitting Independence Day release.
