Bollywood male actors on kissing on-screen

We are aware that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan had mutually agreed upon a ‘No Do’ list post their marriage, part of which was a no-kissing clause. With ‘Ki & Ka,’ however, Kareena shed her inhibitions and will be seen kissing Arjun Kapoor. When asked, the actress said that she and Saif have grown as a couple and have discussed that if and when the script demands, they will kiss and get intimate with their co-stars on-screen. Now that that’s settled, Saif too has gone ahead and let go of his no-kiss policy as the actor will soon be seen sharing a steamy kiss with Kangana Ranaut in their upcoming Vishal Bhardwaj directorial, ‘Rangoon,’ reported BollywoodLife. The film, which is set in the backdrop of World War II, revolves around a love triangle between Saif, Kangana and Shahid Kapoor.

Shahrukh Khan: I feel weird kissing onscreen


Shah Rukh Khan who has a rule of not kissing onscreen, for the first time broke his own rule for the movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan where he kissed Katrina onscreen. In a report Shah Rukh had explained that he doesn't kiss on screen because he doesn't know how to do it. He doesn't do it because he feels weird. Shah Rukh also believes that those who already kiss on screen do it really well. He admitted that he feels discomfort in doing two things for films and that whenever somebody comes to him for narrating a film's story, he clearly states that he won't kiss onscreen and won't ride a horse anytime.

Salman Khan: Kiss yourself

Salman Khan is known for his bindaas attitude and has always ensured to speak his heart out. The actor has impressed all his fans with his quirky and unique sense of humour. Salman has also shocked his audience with his upfront approach towards things. A few questions were raised during Salman Khan's music concert for his movie Hero. He was asked about editing out the lip-locks from the film on which the actor quipped, "Yes, there are no kissing scenes in the film. We wanted to put one but they refused. I myself haven't done one, so how can I ask them to do. I don't think anyone-whether it's Nikhil (director Nikhil Advani) or Sooraj and Athiya, are interested in kissing. Why do you want to see someone else kiss? Kiss yourself."

Emraan Hashmi: I am tired of kissing on screen


Actor Emraan Hashmi, who has carved a niche for himself in his ten-year Bollywood career, says he is happy to get his due after having created a new genre of mainstream films in the industry. However, the Bollywood kisser is somewhere upset with the 'tag' that he carries. In a PTI report Emraan Hashmi had admitted that he is tired of kissing on screen but he has to do it because it is synonymous with him and also because the producers and directors want to add that element. Emraan on the other hand doesn't give too much importance to kissing onscreen.

Saif Ali Khan: In Indian films kissing scenes are not required


In a report on Firstpost.com, Saif Ali Khan expressed that Indian movies can do without kissing scenes as it doesn't "suit us". He further stated in the report that he would not like to kiss onscreen because he thinks it’s not required. Actually he believes it is not done well enough in Indian movies. Quoting the actor, the report stated that there are a few times onscreen that a kiss is warranted and when it is, it should be done in a way that it means everything. But our culture is about not kissing in public. Saif thinks affection should not be shown at public places as it is culturally incorrect.

Sidharth Malhotra: Kissing onscreen is like an algebra equation
