Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are all set to treat their fans with their onscreen chemistry in Ayan Mukerji’s upcoming film, ‘Brahmastra’. The film, which has been in the buzz for a long time now, is also one of the most awaited movies of 2020.

We recently got our hands on some BTS pictures of the actors from the sets of the film in Manali and it is sure to make you all excited for the movie. In the photos, Ranbir and Alia can be seen shooting for the film in a chilled weather of Manali. The picturesque location and ice-clad mountains in the background paints a lovely picture.

Alia looks pretty as a peach in her all-white attire and a neon green jacket. Ranbir, on the other hand looks dapper in his all-black attire.

There are other pictures of director Ayan who is all smiles for the picture as he poses with her crew.

Choreographer Brindha Gopal took to her Twitter handle to share the pictures with her followers. ​Alia Bhatt's day off from 'Brahmastra' shoot in Varanasi has paid off; shares a picture

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are currently shooting for their upcoming film 'Brahmastra' in Varanasi. Pictures and videos from the two from the sets have been doing rounds the internet. The duo even visited Kashi Vishwanath temple to seek blessings.


And now, Alia took her Instagram story to reveal that her "day off" was totally worth. And the actress is enjoying the cuisine of Varanasi. She shared a picture of a large 'thali' on her Instagram, the caption of which read, "Day off has paid off".


Meanwhile, 'Brahmastra' is helmed by Ayan Mukerji and also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy and Dimple Kapadia.


The film was supposed to hit the theatres this December, however, the VFX team needed more time to work on the film and hence, the release date has been shifted to next year.

The film was earlier slated to hit the screens on Christmas this year. ‘Brahmastra’: Ranbir Kapoor to play a DJ in Ayan Mukerji’s film?

Although Brahmastra is one of the most anticipated films in Bollywood, not much is known about the film’s plot, storyline and its characters. While Ayan Mukerji has been treating the viewers with some glimpses and deets from the movie, reports are rife that Ranbir Kapoor will be seen playing a DJ in the film.

According to reports, Ranbir plays a DJ who walks out of his house against his father's wishes. The story then traces his journey as he tries to fulfil his dreams and discovers his superpowers in the process.

The reports also stated that every character in the film possesses superpowers, with Kapoor's character believed to have the power to unleash fire from his palms. The actor has also reportedly undergone rigourous training in various forms of martial arts for the role. It apparently has some high octane action sequences. Ranbir trained in traditional Indian martial arts, including Kalaripayattu and Varma Kalai, before the film went on floors in 2017.

'Brahmastra': First shooting schedule of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer comes to an end

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer 'Brahmastra' has been making all the right noise for a quite some time now. Latest reports suggest that the cast and crew have come to the last leg of the shoot in Bulgaria for the first schedule.

Alia took it to Instagram today and shared a selfie with the team and captioned it ,"About 40 days later... Last day of the first schedule. #Brahmastra".

Meanwhile, Ranbir, who is prepping up for the film will allegedly be learning Indian martial arts forms, including Kalaripayattu and Varma Kalai.

Ranbir Kapoor to train in Indian martial art forms for ‘Brahmastra’?

‘Brahmastra’ is one of the most-awaited films of 2019. The film not only has a stellar cast but will see Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt hit the silver screen together for the first time ever. Also, the film sees them in never-seen-before avatars.

Given that the film is a superhero flick, the cast needs to perform various stunt and action sequences. Currently, Ranbir is in Bulgaria shooting some portions of the film and post this schedule we hear he will train in some forms of India martial arts like Kalaripayattu and Varma Kalai. Apart from that, he will also seek lessons to prep for ground training in Huyen Langlon, a popular form of martial art from Manipur that involves both armed and unarmed fighting.

Helmed by Ayan Mukherji, the film also stars small-screen queen Mouni Roy and Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles.

Alia Bhatt suffers an injury while shooting for an action scene on the sets of ‘Brahmastra’

The Ayan Mukherji directorial ‘Brahmastra’ is making all the right noises ever since the cast was revealed. The film that stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles and small screen queen Mouni Roy as the main antagonist reportedly has had the fans’ piquing interest since its inception.

We hear that Alia, who essays the role of Ranbir’s onscreen lover in this superhero flick, has injured her right shoulder and arm while filming a stunt sequence in Bulgaria. Reports say that the ‘Raazi’ actress’s right arm is bandaged and held up in a sling and she has been advised bed rest. The actress will be out of action for a few weeks as she is in a lot of pain.


The film that also stars megastar Amitabh Bachchan, is slated to release in 2019.
