SRK and Zayn Malik: Both have a massive fan following. So when SRK clicked a selfie with former One Direction member Zayn Malik, it literally created a hysteria online. King Khan was in London where he attended the Asian Awards. Both he and Zayn were awarded for their contribution to cinema and music respectively. SRK then went on to post the picture on his Twitter account with the caption, "This kid is so cool. May Allah bless him. Dinner time at the Asian Awards." The picture was retweeted 120k times and was favourited 160k times. This picture of the two stars has gone on to become India's most retweeted picture of all time!

Ellen DeGeneres' Oscar selfie: Ellen's Oscar selfie certainly broke the internet as it became the most retweeted picture within just one hour of being posted on the talk show host's Twitter account. With the biggies of Hollywood, the picture had the likes of Meryl Streep, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Kevin Spacey, Angelina Jolie and Lupita Nyong'o, all heavyweights and accomplished actors in one frame. That was a feat only Ellen could achieve. She posted the selfie with the caption, "If only Bradley's arm was longer. Best photo ever. #oscars." This selfie got 3.3 million retweets and as per a report on Hollywoodreporter.com, it topped Twitter's list of most-tweeted entertainment moments.

Kim-Kanye's wedding picture: When rapper Kanye West tied the knot with reality star Kim Kardashian, the internet went berserk. Considered to be one of the most high profile weddings of 2014, the duo became the most liked couple on Instagram when Kim and Kanye's Florence wedding picture went viral online. Not just the wedding picture, but even photographs revolving around the wedding guests, the venue, the menu and Kim's family created a buzz, going on to becoming a talking point for internet users.

SRK and Salman's picture with Arpita: This has to be one of the cutest pictures ever! When Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan met at the latter's sister's haldi and sangeet ceremony, history was created. The former warring Khans united at Salman's baby sister's function and Arpita and Atul Agnihotri had shared the photograph on social media. This picture literally broke the internet, as it became the topic of discussion on every platform. Not only that, it was a Karan Arjun moment of sorts as the two famous Khans are seeing kissing Arpita on the forehead. This picture will always be remembered.

Bachchan family selfie: Anything to do with the Bachchans creates curiosity and interest. So on Big B's 72nd birthday, when Abhishek shared a family selfie (groufie) of the entire family, including Aishwarya, Jaya Bachchan, Amitabh and Shweta Nanda, little did he know that it would become so popular instantly. It was picked up by all leading entertainment websites and became a talking point. Junior Bachchan shared it on his Instagram account with the caption, "The Birthday boy. #happybirthdayBigB". [sic] This picture went on to become viral and got 35000 likes. Abhishek then posted another groufie on Instagram and this too got 23000 likes.

Kim Kardashian on the cover of Paper Magazine: The term 'Break the Internet' was literally created for the reality star when she posed for Paper magazine’s winter issue exposing her famous butt. The cover shot of Kim Kardashian by Jean-Paul Goude, showed the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star flaunting her famous behind, polished and shining. In the other cover of the same magazine, Kim is opening a bottle of champagne which sprays behind her into a glass resting on her derriere. This picture then hit the internet with the intention of #BreakTheInternet and achieved its purpose. It became the most trending topic on social media and went viral instantly. Kanye came in support of his wife and tweeted, “the butt cover” with the hashtag “#ALLDAY”. [sic] This was retweeted 70000 times.
