After a brief break from work owing to her wedding with the love of her life Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone is now back to what she does the best. The actress has started this Summer shooting for her next film titled 'Chhapaak' where she plays the role of an acid attack victim. We were treated with some BTS videos from the sets where we saw the actress in the prosthetic makeup. The makers had also revealed the first look of Deepika from the film which just left everyone amazed.

The BTS pictures from the sets show Deepika alongside actor Vikrant Massey shooting in the scorching heat of Delhi. With all those heavy makeup and shooting in the sun, one would wonder how Deepika manages to stay calm. According to reports, Deepika has made some tweaks in her diet to save herself from the intense heat. The actress is consuming a traditional Indian ingredient “Sattu”, which is an excellent food to keep the body hydrated.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, 'Chhapaak' is reportedly based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal. Vikrant Massey will play the male lead opposite Deepika. The film is slated to hit the screen on January 10, 2020.

Deepika Padukone, who was last seen on the silver screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus, 'Padmaavat', is currently finishing off her other professional commitments and spending some quality time with her family.

Now according to a few sources, Deepika is reportedly going to star in late iconic actress Sridevi's hit film, which was directed by a Bollywood director and the project is currently dealing with some legal procedures as the makers as trying to procure the rights of the original film.

Reportedly, during a recently held Award function, Deepika had dedicated her Award, that she bagged for Happy New Year, to Kangana's Queen. Sense of charity: Deepika Padukone will be making a special visit to her school for a fund-raiser event. Deepika was born and brought up in Bangalore and went to the Sophia High School.
