Rohit Shetty: 'Dilwale' is a five to six-ticket film

Rohit Shetty's, Dilwale, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the lead, has been drawing flak from the critics as well as a certain section of the audience. In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, Shetty has responded to the negative reactions saying that Dilwale is a five to six-ticket film. What he means is that it is a film that families watch together and there are chances that few in the family might not like. He further says that one has to deal with it.

'Dilwale' song β€˜Premika’ to release on December 25

If you’ve seen Dilwale, you are obviously wondering what happened to the much-hyped song, ‘Premika,’ which was missing from the film. After the film’s release on December 18, reports started doing the rounds that the song which features Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in the lead, has been deleted from the film. However, Varun has rubbished these rumours saying that the song will be released on December 25 (a week after the film’s release), as a Christmas present for fans. At the media interaction of the recent Stardust Awards, when asked about the song, Varun said, “The song isn’t deleted from the film. It’s going to come out on this Christmas and it’ll even be added back to the film!”

While we have a few days before we can finally see the song, read on to find out why the song meant so much to Varun and Kriti…

Varun-Kriti's song axed from Dilwale

Rohit Shetty's Dilwale, that was pitched against Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani, aced the box-office game on the first day itself. The opening day collections of the film were quite high in contrast to the skinny numbers clocked in by the historical saga. While both films seem to have had almost the same running time, Dilwale had to let go of a song to achieve that. While last-minute editing changes in a film are usual, an entire song was axed from the film, Dilwale. 'Premika,' the song that was filmed on Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, was wiped clean from the film. Varun had shot for the song when he was running a temperature. As reported earlier, 'Premika' was Kriti's favourite song from the film. Wonder why did the makers decide to do away with the song completely.

Well, all we can hope for is the song to be added later, perhaps as a special song. Check out as to what were Varun and Kriti betting on...

Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan are betting on 'Dilwale'

While both Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan would want their film, Dilwale, to fetch stupendous sums of money at the box-office, they have a bet of their own that has been on for quite sometime now. While the two have loved almost all the songs from the album, they have their favourites. So, while Varun is partial towards, 'Manma emotion jaage...,' Kriti has a soft spot for 'Premika.' The two have placed their bets on the two songs are going to decide the winner depending on the popularity of the song. Well, for now though it seems like the two are equally excited for 'Tukur tukur.'

Deepika Padukone sends warm wishes to Dilwale team

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama, Bajirao Mastani and Rohit Shetty’s masala movie, Dilwale, might have entered a major box-office war with their simultaneous release yesterday. But the cast of these two films is definitely not. Ever since the release dates of the two films has been out, terms like ‘ego clash’ and ‘at loggerheads’ have been associated with the actors involved. However, Deepika Padukone has taken in it her stride to prove everyone wrong. The actress took to Twitter to send warm wishes to the entire Dilwale team (Shah Rukh Khan in particular) saying, “I love you and miss you Shah!& loads of love to you, Rohit and the entire team of #Dilwale.”

KRK supports SRK; Questions PM Modi

The MNS-affiliated Chitrapat Karmachari Sena has appealed people to boycott Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Dilwale, releasing this week, alleging that the actor had "ignored the plight of farmers reeling under severe drought. MNS Chitrapat Karmachari Sena chief, Amey Khopkar, was quoted in a PTI report as saying that, "Farmers in Maharashtra, specially in Marathwada, are reeling under drought. Khan, who has been residing in the state and has made a lot of money, has not helped farmers in distress." However, what comes as a surprise is that Kamaal R Khan, who is known for his controversial tweets, has stood up in support of Shah Rukh Khan and his film, Dilwale. He has tweeted, "#MNS is unfair to oppose #Dilwale for the reason that SRK didn't pay to Maharashtra farmers. Political parties can't force ppl for charity. Why should Actors earn and pay to farmers when political parties are eating billions of rupees of tax payers and doing nothing for farmers. If #MNS is forcing SRK to pay to farmers then it's extortion not charity. So is it not intolerance? Can Maun Modi Ji say something about it?"

Varun Dhawan compares 'Dilwale' to 'Inception'

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol-starrer 'Dilwale' has been making headlines for all the right reasons. Touted as one of the biggest releases of the year, the film has been directed by Rohit Shetty and also features Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. During a recent press conference, Varun Dhawan spoke about the film at length and ended up comparing it to Leonardo DiCaprio-starrer, 'Inception', reports Bollywoodlife.com. It so happened that a reporter kept asking Varun about the plot of the film and how the trailer revealed too less. To this, Varun asked the reporter if he had seen Inception and liked it even though the trailer had revealed too less. Varun then concluded that he would like 'Dilwale' too.

When the makers of Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani decided to release their film on the same day, December 18, it instantly created a buzz. Everyone, from the media to fans, started debating as to which film will eat into another’s profits. But, as surprising or strange as it may sound, Varun Dhawan, one of the cast members from Dilwale, isn’t worried about their film clashing with Bajirao Mastani. While interacting with the media, the young actor went on to say that there should be more clashes like Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani because it is fun to watch.

Star Wars too scared to take on Shah Rukh Khan?

The seventh installment of Star Wars series, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which has postponed its release in India by a week. While the Star Wars flick is releasing on December 18 worldwide, the film will be out in India only on December 25. Apparently the decision was taken since two big ticket Bollywood films - Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani are releasing on December 18 and the clash would have meant less business for the Hollywood flick. While the Dilwale vs Bajirao Mastani debate heats up, it remains to be seen as to which film takes the higher cut on opening day. Now, with a big Hollywood film out of their way, the two films only have to fight each other at the ticket windows.

Meanwhile, SRK seems to not be worried about the clash at all and in fact hopes Deepika turns out to be his lucky charm this time too. Read on to know more...

'Main jaise ladkiyon ki sariyaan udata hoon, waise hi Rohit gaadiyaan udata hai'

Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty seem to have worked their quirks and the cliches that they are associated with, to their benefit in the film, Dilwale. Joking about the same, Shah Rukh Khan says, "Main jaise ladkiyon ki sariyaan udata hoon, waise hi Rohit gaadiyaan udata hai - nobody can stop us. We really wanted it to be in the zone of Fast and Furious and James Bond kind of films. In our country, we can do it with VFX and action sequences with the team that Rohit has. We wanted to take it a notch higher, rather than just a car chase in the mud. It has required a little more investment into cars to make them look cooler." However, the cars have changed. Rohit Shetty confessed to having been tired of everyone pulling a quick one on him about how he always blows up the Scorpio vehicle in his films. He has therefore changed the cars this time and promises that he has blown up even more expensive cars.

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol - The mention of the pair is enough to set millions of hearts aflutter. Yet again they are all set to recreate the same magic onscreen with Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale. Once again the pair will be seen romancing each other in the picturesque locales of Iceland.
