Diwali: Bollywood's lavish parties

Diwali saw a string of parties hosted by eminent B-town names and the industry’s who’s who made showed up in their best colours. Many moments from these parties made it to social media and some of them are still popping up on our timelines as the celebrities are still reeling from the joyous after-effects of their legendary parties. Bollywood’s favourite designer Manish Malhotra took to his Instagram account to share a few interesting pictures from one of the bashes. He shared two splendid selfies with alleged couple Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra, and also joining them in another picture was Deepika Padukone.

Riteish Deshmukh, who has lately been off the screens, was recently spotted attending film producer Vashu Bhagnani's party.
The actor was seen sporting a beige kurta and white pajama, with a pair of white sneakers. He even posed for the paparazzi.
Riteish and Vashu's son Jaccky Bhagnani are good friends and even appeared together in the 2011 film 'F.A.L.T.U'. Not just that. They are now, family too.
For the uninitiated, Riteish's elder brother Dheeraj Deshmukh is married to Jackky's sister Deepshika aka Honey Bhagnani. The duo got hitched in 2012 and became parents to a baby boy in 2014.

Thursday night was certainly one starry night with many B-town celebrities hosting lavish Diwali bashes to add some sparkle to the festive season.
Actress and reality show judge Shilpa Shetty was one of the many celebs to throw a grand party at her residence.
Among the attendees were, Shilpa's mother and sister Shamita Shetty, Sridevi, Boney Kapoor and their daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Bipasha Basu and hubby Karan Singh Grover and new parents Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu.
Also spotted at the bash were Chunky Panday with wife Bhavna and daughter Ananya, R. Madhavan with his wife Sarita, Tusshar Kapoor, Dino Morea, Aditya Pancholi with wife Zarina Wahab, Arbaaz Khan, Alvira Agnihotri and husband Atul Agnihotri.

Bollywood’s Diwali parties are getting bigger and better with each passing day. After a host of Diwali bashes by Bollywood celebrities in the last few days, it was now turn of the ‘Jhakaas’ actor Anil Kapoor.
The actor hosted a grand party on the occasion of festival of lights last night and it was indeed a sight to behold. The who’s who of Bollywood made their presence felt at the do. Right from Karisma Kapoor to Alia Bhatt to Parineeti Chopra, the celebs flaunted their designer ethnic wears at the bash.
Amongst those seen attending the party were Shahid Kapoor with wife Mira, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan and others.
Also seen at the bash were Chunky and Bhavana Panday’s daughter Ananya and Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khatter. While Ananya slayed it with her floral lehenga, Ishaan kept it simple with a black kurta and pant.

With a host of Diwali party lined-up one after the other, it is obvious that one would clash with the other. Something similar happened with Sanjay Dutt and Shabana Azmi’s Diwali bash. Both of them organized for a party last night and resultantly, the celebs got divided between the two.
The stars that sizzled at Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar’s residence were Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Karan Johar, Hrithik Roshan and many others. While Amitabh looked gentleman as ever in his subtle yet elegant white kurta, Karan glammed it up with his red ethnic wear.
Vidya Balan, who was also seen at Sanjay’s place, also made it to Shabana’s party along with husband Siddharth Roy Kapur. Dressed in their traditional best, they were all smiles for the camera.

Diwali is all extra bright and colourful this year with Bollywood celebs throwing lavish star-studded Diwali bashes for their industry friends. After Ramesh Taurani and Ekta Kapoor, it was time for Sanjay Dutt who hosted a party yesterday on the occasion.

Posting a picture from the bash on Instagram, Vidya stated that Sanjay is her forever favourite co-star. She wrote, “Met my forever favourite co-actor, Sanjay Dutt tonight ❤️ and ... Happy Diwali to you all ��✨��!!” The picture had Sanjay, Maanayata, Vidya and Jacqueline all smiles for the camera.
Vidya Balan made her Bollywood debut with ‘Parineeta’ which starred Sanjay Dutt and Saif Ali Khan. She was also seen opposite Sanjay in ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’.

The two look amazing while twinning. The festival of lights has begun and so is the trail of extravagant Diwali bashes in Bollywood. After filmmaker Ramesh Taurani’s grand Diwali party, TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor threw a star-studded bash last night.
With Bollywood and TV stars in their full attendance, her residence sparked more than the lantern and diyas of the entire nation put together. Right from Mouni Roy and Arjun Bijlani to Karan Johar and Sonam Kapoor, everybody made their presence felt at the do.

Filmmaker Ramesh Raurani hosted a star studded party on October 15, 2017 at his residence. Celebrities like Salman Khan, Kriti Sanon, Kabir Khan, Soha Ali Khan along with Kunal Kemmu, Tusshar Kapoor and others made their presence felt.

Media reports suggest that Aamir’s house is decorated beautifully and his guests are served home-cooked food. He is a very good host who ensures that his guests are comfortable. Bachchan’s classy do: When it comes to oragnising lavish but classy Diwali dos, no one can beat the Bachchans. Jaya Bachchan personally takes care of the party - right from the guest list to decorations and the menu. It has been reported that though the Bachchans like to keep it traditional for Diwali, they ensure that every product used is eco-friendly. Some of the regulars at this Diwali party are the Kapoors, Roshans, Shweta Bachchan-Nanda and family, Shah Rukh Khan and wife Gauri, Deepika Padukone, Goldie and Sonali Behl, Kangna Ranaut, Farhan and Adhuna Akhtar, Honey Irani, Zoya Akhtar, Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi, Anil Kapoor and family.

Ekta Kapoor’s Diwali dhamaka: Every year the TV czarina, Ekta Kapoor, invites the who's who of Bollywood and TV for a card party. Ekta's parties are high on the fun quotient. Games like Flush and Rummy take the center-stage and the stakes go higher as the night progresses. Ekta's parties reportedly begin at 11 pm and continue till the wee hours of the morning. Those who have made to the list this year are close friends Karan Johar, Neelam Kothari and actors she has worked with, like Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Emraan Hashmi, Sonakshi Sinha, Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. The couple had hosted a very grand Diwali-cum-housewarming party in 2010 and invited the likes of Shah Rukh-Gauri Khan, Sanjay Dutt-Maanayata, The Bachchan family, Ameesha Patel, Salman Khan and Rani Mukerji for their bash.

Khiladi's gang: Akshay Kumar and wife Twinkle also host some of the best Diwali parties. Akshay is not only a khiladi when it comes to movies, but plays his cards well too. His shrewdness and lady luck ensures that he wins more than he loses. In fact, a report in Hindustan Times said that the star everyone is scared to play cards with is Akshay Kumar as he is quite the pro when it comes to a deck of cards.

The buddies club: Best friends Rakesh Roshan, Rishi Kapoor, Prem Chopra and Jeetendra have been spending Diwali together for ages. They ring in their Diwali by playing cards all night long. The venue of the party keeps changing but the fact that they meet on D-day and play cards remains constant. Reports suggest that the money being played is usually high but the spirit is playful rather than competitive.
