When a crazy fan hit Mudassir Aziz to get to Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi Sinha, who was last seen in 'Welcome To New York' is set to return to the silver screen with the rom-com 'Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi'. The star and her movie have been hogging the limelight since the release of the trailer. Weeks ahead of its big release, director Mudassir Aziz and the team headed over to Amritsar to reportedly shoot a song sequence.

If reports are to be believed, the team was all set to shoot the song in a popular market, but given Sonakshi's fan following there, she was mobbed by a crowd of fans who were eager to get a picture of her. However, director Aziz was quick to step in and save his lead star from the frenzied crowd.

Reportedly, the director was hit by a fan, who in a fit of rage, elbowed him. The bouncers on the sets were quick to step in and escort the actress to safety.

Apart from 'Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi', she will be seen next in 'Kalank' alongside Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Hiten Tejwani.

The Aanand L Rai and Krishika Lulla film will be featuring Sonakshi Sinha along with the key characters of the first part. Double dhamaal

The Diana Penty starrer ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ was loved and hailed by audience and critics alike. The makers have come up with the sequel with Diana returning as the eponymous character. However, there is a twist here! The film also stars Sonakshi Sinha, who also plays the titular role.

The film explores the humour arising out of the confusion that is created due to similar names of the two actresses. Sonakshi and Diana had reportedly revealed how similar they are to their respective characters.

Speaking about being a part of a two heroine film, Sonakshi had reportedly said that she was looking forward to working with Diana and they literally had a blast on the sets of the film. Even Diana said that she was happy that Sonakshi was playing ‘Happy’ in the second part.

Aanand L Rai at his best

After the super success of ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, which is the sequel to ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, Aanand L Rai is at the sequel game again! The producer, along with Krishika Lulla, is all geared up for the release of the second instalmnent of his comedy film ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’.

Given his track record, there is a huge anticipation surrounding ‘Happy Phir Bhag Jayegi’ which will now also star Sonakshi Sinha. Speaking about altering the original cast, the producer had reportedly said during the trailer launch that if not for this sequel, he would have kept the original cast intact.

The producer also added that they were very happy with the first instalment of the film and he expects the second one to bring in double happiness.

5/7

Jimmy Sheirgill

While all the key characters in ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ which included Diana Penty, Ali Fazal, Abhay Deol and others did well, it was Jimmy Sheirgill who was applauded for his exceptional performance in the first part.

Jimmy, who plays the character of a gangster named ‘Daman Singh Bagga’ in the film, is simply amazing with his one-liners. The actor is quite hilarious throughout the film with his quirky sense of humour and punch lines. To top it all, the actor also flaunts a bizarre fashion throughout the film.

6/7

Jassi Gill

One of the Punjabi industry’s hottest singing star Jassi Gill is all set to make his acting in Bollywood with Mudassar Aziz’s ‘Happy Phir Bhag Jayegi’.

Speaking about bagging the role, he had reportedly said that he was approached for the film and the director wanted to adapt his character from ‘Nakhre’ for the film.

It is also a dream-come-true moment opportunity for the ‘Guitar Sikhda’ fame singer who couldn’t believe that he is working with the people he used to see on the television and follow on social media. He also added that he has learned a lot from all the stars on the set.

7/7

Sonakshi Sinha’s all pumped up

Sonakshi Sinha, who was last seen in ‘Ittefaq’ and ‘Welcome to New York’, is leaving no stone unturned for the preparation of her character. Apart from sweating out in the gym and getting into shape, the actress has also been trying some not-done-before things for the film.

The actress reportedly got behind the wheels of a manual mini truck for a chase sequence in the film. Speaking about it, Sonakshi averred that although she had some practice driving manual cars, the mini truck was a challenge. The truck, according to the actress, was old and heavy and had to be manually controlled. It was extremely tiresome and required a lot of strength.
