Rajkumar Santoshi and ‘Race 3’ co-stars Salman Khan, Bobby Deol’s connection goes back in time, here’s how

Salman Khan-starrer ‘Race 3’ is one of the most anticipated films of 2018. Ever since the inception of the action-packed thriller, the bond between Salman Khan and Bobby Deol has been quite evident. The two have of late been all praise about each other.

Salman has definitely pushed the limits of Bobby Deol when it comes to his professional front. Even the ‘Poster Boys’ actor has gone on record to accredited a major motivation and catalyst of change in him to none other than the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor.

However, as per recent reports, back in time in the early 90s when Bobby was all set to mark his debut in the industry with ‘Barsaat’, there’s an interesting story attached to it. Reportedly, Rajkumar Santoshi, who was busy shooting for a film called ‘Dil Hai Tumhara’ that featured Salman Khan and Sunny Deol, put the movie on hold post the first schedule. And the reason for the same is believed that Santoshi then worked on Bobby Deol’s debut film in 1995.

Well, currently there isn’t any trace of discontentment between the two ‘Race 3’ co-stars. Salman and Bobby are all geared up for the film’s release on June 15th this year. The Remo D’Souza directorial also features Saqib Saleem, Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah and Jacqueline Fernandez in pivotal roles.

He reportedly averred that he had a lot of pressure. He said that firstly, it’s a franchise film; secondly, it had Salman, one of the biggest superstars of our country and thirdly, he had limited time. He further added that one of the reasons was that it was an Eid 2018 release and they started the movie last November. He even accredited his producer Ramesh Taurani and Salman as two of his big support systems.

While the first two films in the ‘Race’ franchise were known for steamy and sensuous scenes along with interesting turns and twists, ‘Race 3’ is rather more action-packed. When Remo was asked why he decided to change the primary concept that was quite loved by the audience, he opined that both him and Salman wanted a family entertainer and therefore, sought to have nothing that might lead to uncomfortable moments. However, he added that ‘Race 3’ does have twists and turns along with suspense, action, and songs.

Talking about songs and the kind of locations they were all shot in, Remo said that ‘Allah Duhai Hai’, especially, was used as a promotional track in the first two films, but in ‘Race 3’, it’s part of the narrative where the actors are conversing with each other. He added that the lyrics are such that it takes the movie forward. Giving the details of the location, he said that they filmed it on the rooftop of an Abu Dhabi high rise and roped in dancers from London as well as ballet dancers from Delhi.

Salman Khan's upcoming film 'Race 3' is one of the biggest releases of this year. Apart from Salman Khan, the film is also known for its unique combination of actors like Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem and Freddy Daruwala. Apart from Salman Khan, all the other actors were not the first choice for their respective roles.

Jacqueline Fernandez and Daisy Shah were finalised for the film after Salman Khan came on board. In fact, director Remo D'Souza also came on board because of Salman Khan. During the trailer launch of the film, Salman Khan revealed the real reason why he recommended Daisy, Jacqueline, and Remo for the film.

Salman Khan revealed that post 'Tubelight', he was going to do a dance film with Remo D'Souza tentatively titled 'Dancing Dad'. The film would feature Salman Khan as a father and would have Jacqueline and Daisy to give him company. But due to the underperformance of 'Tubelight', Salman Khan decided to put the film on hold and concentrate on 'Race 3'.

Hence while signing 'Race 3' Salman Khan requested the makers to get Remo, Daisy and Jacqueline on board for the film.

'Race 3' is all set for an Eid release on June 15, 2018.

'Race 3': Supercars blown up for the action sequences in the Salman Khan starrer

The trailer of Remo D’Souza’s ‘Race 3’ gave us a glimpse of the high octane action sequences in the film. While we can see cars chasing and being blown up in various scenes, the actual brand and number of cars used for the shots will blow your mind.

According to the reports, about 15-16 supercars were used during the shoot of action scenes in the film. 'Race 3': Ramesh Taurani's pet dog keeps everyone attentive during their team meetings

After Salman Khan’s dog ‘My Love’ watching his ‘Selfish’ song on TV, it is producer Ramesh Taurani’s dog Max which is amusing everybody on the sets of ‘Race 3’. Like every other pet, Max loves to accompany Taurani on all of his personal and professional outings and that includes the team meet of ‘Race 3’ too.

The golden retriever loves to attend almost all the meetings of Taurani. The reason behind this is the biscuits that are served during such meeting. He has a weakness for them.

Not only does he attend such meetings but also reportedly makes sure everybody is attentive during the meeting. Whenever someone doesn't appear alert enough and are being all fidgety, he pulls the sleeves of their shirt to make sure that they stay attentive and listen to what is being said.

As far as people are concerned, they don’t mind him at all as they know that he does it affectionately.

Interestingly, Ramesh Taurani backed movie 'Entertainment' starring Akshay Kumar had the same breed of dog featured in it.
