According to a DNA report, when writer KV Vijayendra decided to write a script in Hindi, he came to Mumbai with the script of Bajrangi Bhaijaan and took it to Aamir. A source was quoted in the report as saying that Mr Perfectionist liked the film, but thought it's too political. Aamir wanted some radical changes in the script, but Vijayendra refused to do so. The source further added that Vijayendra then took the script to Hrithik Roshan, but the actor thought that Rs 2 crore was too much for the script. Major flaw in Bajrangi Bhaijaan

Bajrangi Bhaijaan has managed to garner critical acclaim as well as box-office numbers. The film has broken many records both in India and overseas too. However, the film that talks about India-Pakistan relationships, has some major flaws. While the era that the film is set in, hasn't been established in the film, the selfie song indicates that it is set in contemporary times. However, YouTube was blocked in Pakistan following a decision taken by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority on February 22, 2008 because of the number of "non-Islamic objectionable videos." Considering this, the sequence where Nawazuddin's character is seen using the video sharing site to spread Bajrangi's message seems to be a discrepancy.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan's celebratory Eid song, 'Aaj ki party...' may well become a rage with youngsters and play at clubs, but Salman Khan's dad, Salim Khan, didn't care for the track when he saw the film at a special screening recently, as reported in Mumbai Mirror. Confirming this, the film's director, Kabir Khan has been quoted in the report as saying that, "It's a party song for Salman's fans to enjoy and we ourselves were undecided about whether to incorporate it in the film's narrative. We attached it to the end credits and that was the cut Salim saab saw. After the show, he told me that the greatness of the film is without the song." Kabir agrees with Salim on the fact that end credit songs have become a disease. "Only some romcoms and love stories can carry them off. I've seen some very good films destroyed by a song at the end. You spend two-hours creating a character who's real and believable and, then, seeing him in garish clothes and dancing merrily destroys the vision," he argues, adding that it's like pouring sugar into your mouth after a good meal because it's sweet. "We don't need sweet," says the director in the report. The only thing not in sync is this promotional song, which will now play only on TV. "As a director, I don't need it. I have enough songs in my film. But it was a marketing call and I understand that a big-budget film needs to keep generating content to create excitement in the audience without impinging on my film," sums Kabir in the report.
