"I love Surya Namaskar because it’s the first thing I learnt to do when I was training my body and it’s something that helps me feel my best"

‘Yoga and ballet require strength and practice’

Tara began training in ballet when she was five-years-old and learnt her first asana when she was 14. She says, “I’ve spent a majority of my life training in dance and movement. Both yoga and ballet require great strength and practice, like most other things in life. Yoga and ballet have also helped me with flexibility and building a strong core, something I think we all want as we grow older. I start my dance classes with basic yoga asanas and Surya Namaskars quite often, as it helps me warm up and get ready for an intense ballet or jazz class.”

"Practicing any form of yoga, exercise or dance is so great for us. It may feel like it’s not for you in the beginning, but if you try and keep at it, you’ll realise that it is exactly what you’ve needed, both emotionally and physically. We all need to feel aligned with what’s good for us, and yoga and dance can give you just that"

"I’ve been a student of yoga and classical dance all my life and it has helped my body understand poise, posture, grace and strength - both mentally and physically. It has given me core strength, stability in movement and has also helped me become a better dancer"
