Social media and the pandemic also buoyed the independent and regional music scene lately. Commenting on that, Khushboo says, "The evolution of independent and regional music has given the artists so much to explore. It gives them a certain confidence, fearlessness, reinvention technique - all you have to do is create a song, and not depend on labels, other musicians and just release on social media or Youtube. This has been making people overnight stars. However, the disadvantage is that there is a lot of clutter, because anyone and everyone is creating content. It has reduced people's attention to 15-20 seconds. This has levied a lot of pressure on the artist. But then everything has its good and the bad."

She further adds that artists should not think that there is some kind of formula to get it right on the first go. "What we have learnt over the years is that you keep putting out quality content and it will get through to the audience. Consistency is key, 2-3 gaane mein popularity nahi mile toh, we shouldn't give up out of fear and judgement. Also there are trolls, negative comments and various forms of criticism that the person has to face. If you have even 1000 loyal fans, you will do well," she adds.

Finally, the singer also opens up about her new track and what it means. "Darpok Mahiya is slightly different from regular songs. Mostly songs talk about a lover who goes out of the way to win the love of his life and has grand gestures of love. So the guy in our song is in love but is scared of commitment.
It's a very typical song where the girl is complaining about the guy. I feel a lot of youngsters will be able to relate with it and I think there will be a lot of social media tags," she concludes.
