City bands, Turf and Underground Authority (UA), showed what it takes to go the indie way when they performed at a city auditorium, recently.
The repertoire of UA is flavoured by a blend of protest poetry, rap, reggae and alternative beats, sprinkled with hard rock. Santhanam Srinivasan, was on vocals, Adil Rashid on the lead guitar, Kuntal De on rhythm, S o u mya d e e p Bhattacharyaon bass andSourish Kumar on drums.

This was followed by a performance byTurf, who define their music is a mix of various genres with an ‘experimental edge’ to it. Next, it was up to Cavatina Duo, comprising Denis Azabagic from Bosnia and Eugenia Moliner from Spain to enthrall the audience with their mix of baroque, classical and contemporary tunes, strung together on the guitar and the flute. Magnificent was an understatement!
