Bollywood: The 1920 franchise has always had some good music to its credit but in their third installment, they have nothing new to offer. The music is easy on the ears but the compositions are average. The album kick-starts with Aaj ro len de, which is a soothing song but definitely not exemplary. Singer Sharib Sabri plays it safe and gives us a regular melancholic track. You dont abhor it but this one for sure wont make it on your playlist. Rootha kyun tries to save the album from tilting towards mediocrity. Mohit Chauhans soulful rendering and Payal Devs breezy voice makes this pleasant number effective. Shaan works wonders with the simple track Tujhko mein but his magic is all thats there to this song. The romantic track has a quaint feel to it but there isnt an element of genius in this composition. Prashant Ingoles lyrics are just about the best thing in Aafreen. With a catchy hook-line, this is a song for keeps. KKs breathtaking voice supported by Antara Mitras smooth voice quality, is a potential hit number. Though Aafreen and Rootha kyun have merit, the films music isnt promising enough.
