The backgrounds of Come Na Come… immediately reminds you of one of the scores in Pizza, but that’s about it. Santhosh Narayanan veers into a different loop — a catchy one at that — with the opening number and gets a tune which will probably aptly fit into the scheme of things with the mood of the film. Andrea gets into experimental mode with Mama Douser…, a fast-paced number that might appeal to the masses.
1x1 polls
With Ellam Kadandhi Pogumada…, the composer takes us on a trip back in time — to the 60s, when the emphasis was on voice and lyric. This retro-style number works mainly due to its singer Koavai Jaleel, who does apt justice to the feel and mood thanks to his rendition. Sudden Delight… sounds like one of those tunes that should be played throughout the film. Divya Ramani gets a decent tune in Sa Ga… that has the composer’s trademark stamp on it thanks to the violins and arrangements. The album ends with the foot-tapping Kasu Panam… with Gana Bala, who is emerging as an important singer in Tamil film music. A neat album from Santhosh — but we miss that standard scintillating melody he had in both his previous albums.
