Alexx O'Nell composes and sings a poignant Sanskrit shloka in his latest single

Actor Alexx O’Nell who was seen in ‘Joker’, ‘Cheeni Kum’, ‘Main Aur Charles’ and others began his singing career a few months ago with ‘Still On My Mind’. The actor-musician starred in it along with his pretty ex, actress Shama Sikander.

And now he is back with another single with

' is an original composition incorporating the beautiful and poignant

Sanskrit

shlokas that I had studied and memorised in preparation for a role I played recently. Yes, I’m singing in Sanskrit, in an acoustic-rock style, and have even provided English subtitles so the meaning of these verses from the Bhagwad Gita can be accessible to those of us that don’t speak the ancient language... A challenging, but nevertheless rewarding project.”

Alexx was moved by the shlokas a lot and says, “To this day, these passages visit me at the most unexpected times, with such an inspiring and reassuring message that I felt compelled to set this poetry, in its original Sanskrit, to my own music. It conveys a strong message: “Fight, Fight for the sake of duty, treating alike happiness and distress, loss and gain, victory and defeat."
