Another video of Udit Narayan kissing female fans on lips goes viral, fans react

Singer Udit Narayan is facing criticism after videos of him kissing female fans during live shows went viral. In one video, he even kissed a fan on the lips, which upset many people online.


Today, a user on X (formerly Twitter) shared a video of fans crowding around Udit Narayan for selfies after his concert. Wearing a blue formal outfit, the singer is seen interacting with fans and kissing several female admirers. In one moment, he even kisses a woman on the lips, but she is seen laughing in response. Online users reacted to the video with comments like 'He is unstoppable,' 'Kissing selfies are the new trend,' 'He is going crazy,' and 'One man was asking for a selfie, and he didn’t care.'

This isn’t the first time Udit Narayan has been criticized for this. Earlier, a video of him kissing female fans while singing Tip Tip Barsa Paani went viral, getting mixed reactions. In an interview with ETimes, he responded to the controversy. Narayan said, “There is a deep, pure and unbreakable bond between my fans and me. What you saw in the so-called scandalous video was a manifestation of the love between my fans and I. They love me and I love them back even more.”

Speaking about the possibility of a conspiracy to malign his reputation, Narayan said, "There is something definitely suspicious about this. Why did the video suddenly appear, and that too from a concert from some months ago in the US or Canada. I want to tell the mischief mongers: the harder you try to pull me down, the higher I will go."

Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya also defended Udit Narayan in an interview with News18, saying, "He’s Udit Narayan! Girls were after him; he didn’t pull anyone close. I’m sure that every time Udit performs, his wife is there as a co-singer. Let him enjoy his success! He’s a romantic singer, a big khiladi, and I’m an anari. Don’t try to play games with him.”


Udit Narayan is a legendary playback singer who has sung in many languages, including Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Bengali, Sindhi, Odia, Bhojpuri, Nepali, Malayalam, and Assamese. He has won four National Film Awards and was honored with the Padma Shri in 2009 and the Padma Bhushan in 2016.

Some of Udit Narayan's most notable songs include Papa Kehte Hain (from Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak), Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyar Hum (from Hum), Ilu Ilu (from Saudagar), and Saat Samundar Paar (from Vishwatma). He has also sung memorable hits in films like Pukar, Dhadkan, Lagaan, Devdas, Veer-Zaara, and Student of the Year, among others.
