The legendary singer was admitted to the hospital on Saturday following cardiac and respiratory complications, which subsequently caused multiple organ failure. Her passing marks the end of an era in Indian music with several stars and fans sharing their tributes. Widely recognized globally, she holds the record for the world’s most recorded artist in 2011.

Asha Bhosle’s Guinness record

In 2011, Guinness World Records named Asha Bhosle the most recorded artist. She had sung over 11,000 songs and many more recordings in more than 20 languages. Before that, the World Records Academy also recognized her in 2009. She received several prestigious honors, such as the Padma Vibhushan in 2008 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Her journey in music made her one of the greatest singers ever.

Asha Bhosle’s family confirms the sad news

Today, Asha Bhosle’s son Anand Bhosle confirmed the news about her sad demise. As seen in an ANI post, her son said, “My mother Asha Bhosle has passed away today. Tomorrow at 11 am, people can pay their last respects at her residence…” He also shared that the last rites will take place at 4:00 pm.
Her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle earlier asked for privacy when she was in the hospital. The family is now preparing to say their final goodbye.

The ‘Yeh Lamha Filhaal Jee Lene De’ singer started singing in 1943. She sang thousands of songs in many languages. Her voice was loved by people of all ages. She sang for films, albums, and live shows around the world. She was known for her energy and her ability to sing all kinds of songs. She stayed active in music for many years and inspired many singers.Her last song remains, ‘Saiyaan Bina’, which was released in December 2024.
