Gully Boy singer Jasleen Royal: Happy to have reached where I am today
Having made her debut in Bollywood with Sonam Kapoor’s 2014 Khoobsurat, Jasleen Royal went on to sing for Philauri,
Talking about how life has changed after Gully Boy, Jasleen says, “Gully Boy will remain special to me for various reasons. And I am grateful to the makers for making me a part of such an iconic score. I don’t know how my life has changed per se. There is a gradual shift with every project you do, and I hope to reach more and more hearts through every project.”
The singer would save money from her gigs to fund the release of her first single. “I started from scratch and saved every penny I made from shows to release my music. It’s been a long journey, but I am happy to have reached where I am today. However, there’s a lot to be done and I keep working towards my goals,” she replies.
Quiz her if she likes to record in studios or perform live and she says, “I love performing live. But I also like the balance between creating new music and performing live.”

It was my first visit to the city and I’ll always remember it,” she says. Jasleen has hits like Din Shagna Da, Nachde Ne Saare and Laaj Sharam to her credit, and this year, she made her acting debut with Gully Boy where she was seen performing at a college fest.Talking about how life has changed after Gully Boy, Jasleen says, “Gully Boy will remain special to me for various reasons.
