Word from London is that singer Kanika Kapoor will join English DJ and musician Naughty Boy to perform Bollywood classics as part of this year's BBC Proms Late Night, one of the world's largest classical music festival that opens at the Royal Albert Hall on July 17 and will go on for two months.Kanika will pay homage to Yash Chopra and perform classics from his films, including
Kabhie Kabhie and
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, which incidentally will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year.
Also featuring in the event will be Benny Dayal and Palak Muchhal. While Benny will perform some of his biggest hits like
Badtemeez Dil and Bang Bang besides paying tributes to A R Rahman and Kishore Kumar, Palak Muchhal's set will include
Chahun Main Ya Naa and
Meri Ashiqui from
Ashiqui 2. She will also pay homage to Lata Mangeshkar and the late great Reshma.
