Legendary veteran singer Bhupinder Singh passed away in Mumbai on Monday evening. He was admitted to Citicare hospital in Andheri and left for the heavenly abode at around 7:45 pm. The singer took his last breath at the age of 82.
According to the reports, the singer had multiple health issues. Talking to IANS, the late singer's wife said, "He was suffering from several health complications, including urinary issues since some time." Also, his wife told a website that he had a colon infection.
The late singer's wife Mitali Singh and son Amandeep Singh released a statement that read, "Bhupendra Singhji left for his heavenly abode at 7.45 pm this evening he was unwell since last 6 months. The cremation will take place at 12.30 am at Oshiwara crematorium."
The doctor of the hospital told a website that he was admitted ten days before as he had an infection. The doctor further added that the late singer had a colon ailment and also got COVID-19 during the treatment. He further added that the singer's condition worsened in the morning and he was put on a ventilator. The doctor concluded by stating that the singer suffered a cardiac arrest in the evening.
Several fans took to their respective social media handles to mourn the demise of the singer.

The late legend hailed from Amritsar and started his career with All India Radio. He was also associated with the Delhi Doordarshan Centre.
