Moti Jheel aa kar bachpan ki saari yaadein taaza ho gayi: Ankit Tiwari

Over a period of one and half years, life has completely changed for singer and music composer Ankit Tiwari. The Galliyan singer-composer may not have had many hit songs in the recent past but he finds himself satisfied. After shooting a video for a song in Lucknow, Ankit was in Kanpur over the weekend for the mundan ceremony of his four-month old daughter Aryaa. During his visit to his hometown Ankit spoke about his memories of summers spent as a kid in Kanpur, how filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is lucky for him and his daughter, and why he joined politics recently.
It’s been four month since Ankit became a father and he says that the experience is the best one can have in this world. "Father banne ka jo ehsaas hai usko main shabdon mein bata hi nahi sakta. Ek alag si feeling thi jab maine pehli baar apni daughter Aryaa ko dekha tha. Shuru mein logon ne bahut daraya ki baby hone ke baad raat ko so bhi nahi sakte and aaj kal meri bhi neend poori nahi hoti hai par uska bhi ek alag mazaa hai. Jab bhi meri beti ki awaaz mere kaano mein jaati hai toh mujhe ek sukoon sa milta hai. Uski awaaz mujhe music jaisi lagti hai. Kisi aur father ki hi tarah main bhi Aryaa ke nappies badalta hoon. Having got his first hit song Sunn Raha Hai in Aashiqui 2, a film of Mahesh Bhatt, Ankit says that Bhatt and his daughter are lucky for him. "Bhatt sahab is really lucky for me," he says.

Ankit adds, "I started my career with Bhatt sahab and he is the person who has named my daughter Aryaa. Mahesh ji ne mujhe bataya ki Aryaa…Maa Durga ka naam hota hai. And my daughter, I feel, will always bless me like maa. As for Bhatt sahab, I feel proud that I began my career in Bollywood with him and my daughter has begun her life with his blessings. Since the time Aryaa has come in my life, I have signed films like 'Sadak 2', '

' and Batla House. Also, I believe that I will be doing the music for Ek Villain 2 too," says Ankit.
With a sound career in music in Bollywood, Ankit has now chosen an alternate field for himself. The latest addition to Ankit’s profile is politics. Ankit and his elder brother Ankur have recently joined the Bhartiya Janta Party, recently. Of his new role, Ankit says, "My brother Ankur will be actively involved in politics and I will be supporting him. Ab jo bhi kaam party degi usko Ankur poora karenge aur main unko help aur support karne ka kaam karunga."
A favourite haunt of his since he was a kid, this time too Ankit visited the Moti Jheel in Kanpur. "It’s been long since I have come here (Moti jheel) to spend some time. Mujhe yaad hai ki bacchpane mein garmiyon mein shaam ko main apne friends ke saath Moti Jheel aaya karta tha. Yahan par aa kar nariyal paani, shikanji aur makku (barf gola) ke maze liya karta tha. Ab yeh sab yaadon mein hi reh gaya hai. But this time when I was coming home, I’d made up my mind to visit Moti Jheel again. And yahan aa kar bachpan ki saari yadein taaza ho gayi," says Ankit with a smile.
