campus recently. Sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan was the guest who also performed at the event.

The sarod virtuoso, said, "I believe it is very essential to strike a balance between rhythm and music. The grace of

Indian classical music

is simply unmatched. I started playing at the age of 6 and was inspired by my father, who himself was a renowned artist. Initially in my career, I faced a lot of challenges establishing myself amid all the great legends in the industry but I kept playing honestly being true to my craft and ultimately made a place for myself in hearts of audience.”

He added, "Music industry is very different from the film industry, which makes people stars overnight. Whether its theatre or music, both take time to evolve. However, they hold the power to connect the world. We often misuse the term tradition with convention; however, both of them have a fine difference. Convention means sticking to colloquial methods and not wanting to experiment. I always encourage the young talent to experiment and apply their own brain while nurturing their craft," says the maestro.
