Vaibhav Tatwawaadi and
Anjali Patil recently started shooting for a
Hindi
film, directed by National Award winner
Makarand Mane. The yet untitled movie also marks Makarand’s foray into Hindi films. he has previously directed Marathi films like '
Ringan
' and 'Kaagar'.
This will be the first time that Vaibhav, who has been part of films like 'Bajirao Mastani', 'Lipstick Under My Burkha' and 'Manikarnika', and 'Anjali', seen in acclaimed films like 'Newton', 'Finding Fanny' and 'Kaala', will share screen space. This is for the first time that Vaibhav and Anjali, who are great friends off screen, are paired together. “Anjali is one of the finest actors of our generation and I am happy to share screen space with her,” says he.
Vaibhav, who shot in Pune after Coffee Aani Barach Kahi that released in 2015, says, “We have completed the major chunk of the film and the experience of shooting in Pune was amazing. We took a lot of safety precautions and ensured that we shot with limited crew members.”
Vaibhav shares about his and Makarand's friendship. "Makarand was the assistant director in my first project. So, our friendship goes back a long way. He is a brilliant director and I am having a blast working with him."
