A Star-Studded NightStray Kids, NewJeans, and a host of other remarkable talents etched their names in the annals of the Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards. At the annual extravaganza, hosted by Jang Ye Won and Jang Dong Yoon, audiences were treated to electrifying performances by luminaries like Monika and her dynamic dance crew, PROWDMON, 10CM, Chuu, and the mesmerizing MeloMance.
A Grand Gala of HonorsThe 2023 awards gala was no ordinary affair. A total of eight artists and groups basked in the glow of Prime Minister's Commendations, a prestigious distinction. Six esteemed artists were lauded with the Order of Cultural Merit, while an additional seven artists and groups were honored with Presidential Commendations. Ten more artists and groups were recognised with Commendations from the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Of particular note was the groundbreaking moment when the renowned singer Lee Mi Ja was adorned with the coveted Geumgwan Order of Cultural Merit, the highest of its kind, marking a historic milestone for the world of pop music.
