BTS sent fans into a frenzy on Tuesday after they made a surprise appearance in Portugal. The band brought onlookers at they quietly made their way out of the airport. The seven-member band comprising of RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and JungKook, was seen casually making their way out of an airport, pulling their luggage and keeping a low profile ias their security team helped keep fellow travellers at bay. However, their low-key exit quickly turned chaotic as unsuspecting fans screamed in excitement and rushed to capture photos and videos of the K-Pop superstars.
BTS spotted in Portugal
Clips circulating widely on social media show the band sticking together and calmly making their way amid a crowded airport. The appearance immediately set off speculation about the reason behind BTS’ visit to the European country.
BTS recording track for House of the Dragon
While no official details have been confirmed, a viral rumour suggested the group may be in Lisbon for professional commitments. One widely shared post claimed BTS could be filming a music video for a “special soundtrack” tied to HBO’s hit fantasy series 'House of the Dragon'. According to the unverified claim, the track would also feature on BTS’ upcoming album ARIRANG, which is scheduled for release on March 20, while the show is expected to return later this year.
BTS' comeback tour
The surprise sighting comes a day after Netflix announced it will livestream the group’s comeback concert, BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG, from Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square on March 21. The event will be streamed exclusively on the platform across nearly 190 countries, making it one of the largest live K-pop broadcasts to date. While the band begins their world tour the following day, fans will be treated to a new documentary titled 'BTS: THE RETURN', which will premiere on March 27.
