BTS’ Suga celebrates his birthday with a generous donation to aid victims of the South Korean wildfire

The Bangtan Boys’ member Suga turned a year older on Wednesday and celebrated with a thoughtful donation of 100 million won (approximately $81,000) to help those affected by the ongoing wildfire on the eastern coast of Korea.
The silent donation came under notice when the hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief revealed Suga’s donation is a part of his birthday celebration.The idol was later quoted opening about his decision as he said, “I hope (my donation) will be used for residents who are suffering from the damages of the wildfire.”
Suga has been religiously donating to mark his birthday every year. Previously, he had extended monetary help of 100 million won to the pediatric centre of cancer patients.
Meanwhile, BTS ARMY has trending Suga on Twitter throughout the whole day with pictures and heartfelt wishes. They have also lauded the birthday boy for his meaningful donation.
The Wildfire in the Korean region began earlier this month on the mountains near the seaside region of Uljin, North Gyeongsang province of South Korea. The fire has now spread to the nearby areas, including the city of Samcheok and is now approaching the coastal cities of Donghae and Gangneung.

Several other Korean stars such as Shin Min Ah, Park Min Young, Lee Jong Suk, Yoo Jae Suk, Kim Hye Soo, IU, Kim Go Eun, Lee Byung Hun, Hyeri, Kim Hee Sun and Song Kang Ho have also extended help towards the cause with donations.
