The 2023 Billboard Music Awards, celebrated as one of the big three in American pop music awards alongside the Grammys and the AMAs, is set to take place at the MCM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, November 19. Numerous K-Pop artists are set to take over the stage at the show and have earned prestigious nods as well. Stray Kids is set to dazzle the audience with their debut performance at the upcoming Billboard Music Awards. The eight-member boy band, comprised of Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N., will take the stage with an electrifying showcase featuring two of their chart-topping hits, ‘S-Class’ and the never-before-performed-on-an-awards-show ‘LALALALA’.


Apart from their highly anticipated performance, Stray Kids is vying for top honours in the categories: top global K-pop artist and top K-pop album for their acclaimed work, ‘5-Star’. Stray Kids has undeniably carved their path to success, securing three No. 1 albums on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart. Their albums, ‘Stray Kids Mini Album: Oddinary (EP)’, ‘Maxident’, and ‘5-Star’, achieved this remarkable feat in April 2022, October 2022, and June 2023, respectively.


K-pop enthusiasts will be treated to yet another spectacular moment as the sensational K-pop girl group, NewJeans, graces the awards show stage for the first time. Comprising members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, NewJeans will captivate the audience with a dynamic performance featuring their chart-topping hits ‘Super Shy’ and ‘OMG’, both of which have earned a coveted spot on the Hot 100 this year. This year, nine new awards have been introduced, including four in the burgeoning K-pop category: top global K-pop artist, top K-pop tour, top K-pop album, and top global K-pop song. In the ‘Top Global K-pop Artist’ category, we have BTS' Jimin, Stray Kids, NewJeans, TWICE, and TXT vying for the crown. The 'Top K-pop Touring Artist' category features BLACKPINK, TWICE, and BTS' SUGA. The 'Top K-pop Album' category has BTS' Jimin's 'FACE,' NewJeans' '2nd EP Get Up', Stray Kids' '5-STAR', TXT's 'The Name Chapter’, TEMPTATION' and TWICE's 'READY TO BE: 12th Mini Album'. The 'Top Global K-pop Song' category includes BTS' Jimin's 'Like Crazy', FIFTY FIFTY's 'Cupid', BTS' Jungkook's 'Seven', NewJeans' 'Ditto' and 'OMG'. BTS' Jimin has also won a nomination in the 'Top Selling Song' category for his official solo debut track, 'Like Crazy'. FIFTY FIFTY is in the running for the 'Top Duo/Group' category, alongside Eslabon Armado, Fuerza Regida, Grupo Frontera, and Metallica.
