Sharing a clip of O Premi O Premi, a song from the film, in his heartfelt message on his social media handles, Anil praised the current generation of Kannada filmmakers and stars for bringing regional cinema to a national and global audience. “43 years ago, I took my first step into the Kannada film industry. From then to now, it’s incredible to see how Kannada cinema is booming and redefining Indian cinema globally,” he wrote. Anil went on to salute the new wave of Kannada cinema, adding, “Salute to @TheNameIsYash, #PrasahanthNeel, @shetty_rishab and the teams behind KGF and Kantara for raising the bar so high. Hopefully not my last association with this amazing industry.” The tribute drew warm reactions from the Kannada film fraternity. Rishab Shetty responded with admiration, adding that Pallavi Anu Pallavi remains one of his favourite films. “We’re so proud of you, Sir! Your journey began here, and today you stand as a true legend of Indian cinema,” Rishab wrote.
