Ranjani Raghavan believes a good director can bring out the most in an actor. "But when a director lacks confidence, it creates a challenge. Actors then try to anticipate the audience's reaction, which can be a bit of a hassle, for an actor," explains the television actor who is now pivoting towards films.
"I like coming to set like a blank canvas. This allows me to explore freely and helps the director draw the best performance from me. Ultimately, trusting your director is essential," she says.
Ranjani recently reunited with Vijay Raghavendra for their second film together, Swapna Mantapa. The movie is directed by national award-winner Baraguru Ramachandrappa, and is based on his own novel.
