Cheers filled the air as Abishek Ambareesh tied three knots around long-time girlfriend Aviva Bidapa’s neck, at their wedding ceremony at Palace Grounds on Monday, before a host of dignitaries that included politicians, cricketers and film personalities. Dressed in complementing attire, the couple could not stop smiling through their big moment. Sumalatha Ambareesh looked emotional as she sat next to the couple during the thaali-tying ceremony. The bride’s parents, fashion guru Prasad Bidapa and his wife, theatre personality Judith Bidapa oversaw the ceremony with much fondness. The reception will be held on June 7.
The rituals were held according to Vokkaliga traditions. The Naadaswaram team played songs from Ambareesh’s films, such as Olavina Udugore and Kuchiku Kuchiku.
While Yash and Sudeep dropped in with their families, Rajinikanth came in early to bless the couple. Other celebrities included Anil Kumble, Meena, Suhasini Maniratnam, Mohan Babu and Vani Ganapathy.
