Esru Prasanga, penned by
Kannada

Ka Tha Chikkanna
.
Akshatha, who won the best actress award for her performance in the Kannada film, Pink Elli?, is delighted to play another performance-driven character early in her career. “I play a young mother living in a tiny village and struggling to make ends meet as her husband is irresponsible and shirks family responsibilities. When her 10-year-old daughter expresses her desire to eat chicken curry, she has to make many compromises to fulfil her wish. I will be seen in a deglam look and will be speaking in the Chamarajanagar Kannada dialect since the entire story is set in rural areas.”
Akshatha, who is balancing motherhood and shooting, says: “My daughter is 11 months old. I am still feeding her, so I take my mother to the sets to look after the baby. Until she grows up, I will be selective in choosing roles,” she sums up.
