'Bhajarangi 2' release postponed due to pandemic restrictions

The team of 'Bhajarangi 2' has had to face yet another delay in the film's release due to the prevailing pandemic conditions. With cases steadily on the rise over the past few days, the makers have decided on being prudent and postponing the release to a future date, when the scenario is more conducive. 'Bhajarangi 2' was slated to release on the 10th of September on a grand scale.
In the same vein, the film's first official trailer, originally scheduled to come out on September 1st, too shall be released on a later date. Shiva Rajkumar, the leading man of 'Bhajarangi 2', took to social media earlier today to make the announcement through a video message that also features director A. Harsha, producer Jayanna, and music composer Arjun Janya.
"With the cases surging slowly, along with the night and weekend curfews, we are unable to release the trailer and the film on the promised dates (1st and 10th September, respectively). The whole team would want all of you to watch the film on the big screen with 100% capacity and we feel that's the best way to enjoy and get the complete experience. I would genuinely request all the fans to not be disheartened as we plan on announcing the film's new release date at the earliest along with the trailer. All those involved in the making of the film, be it the director, the producer, or any small member of the team, have struggled a lot because of these consistent delays but we don't you, the audience, to go through the same," said Shiva Rajkumar in the video message.

A film of massive scope and vision, 'Bhajarangi 2' has been one of the biggest victims of the prevailing scenario and the makers have continued to endure one setback after another as a result. Right from the struggles during production wherein a massive set-piece was burned down accidentally to constant delays in the film's release, it has been a tough road for A. Harsha & Co. but the team has forged on nevertheless, being positive throughout. With all the major upcoming releases like 'K.G.F: Chapter 2' and 'Vikrant Rona' currently held back from releasing owing to lack of clarity, one can assume that the makers of 'Bharajangi 2' too have taken some time off to assess the situation and make the right call in this regard.
