It’s a film by choreographer-turned-director
Imran Sardhariya, so it’s really no wonder that he chose a dance contest for audiences to be a part of his team’s celebrations on the release day of
Uppu Huli Khara
. Imran’s second directorial is a fun whodunit, starring a bunch of newcomers, including
Sharath and Dhananjay as well as popular emcee and actress
Anushree
and Malashri. The film has a song sung by Power Star
Puneeth Rajkumar, Ro Ro Romeo, which has been doing very well since its release. The peppy dance number has been picturized on Sharath and Anushree, and Imran thought it apt to use this song for a promotional contest. “We launched the song at Puneeth’s house and got him to do the hook step from the number. Since then, many other actors who have liked the song have also performed the step, like Vijay Raghavendra, Priya Mani and Meghana Gaonkar, among others. While we are hoping to get a lot more to dance to this song, we are now opening it out to the audience. Called the Romeo Challenge, we are inviting video entries of people doing the hook step of the
Ro Ro Romeo
song, the best five of which will be selected to join the team to watch the film and have lunch with us,” explains Imran.
The video has to be uploaded on the sender’s social media page with relevant hashtags like #RomeoChallenge, #UppuHuliKhara and #AnchorAnushree.
